Oma and Opa Arrive
My parents flew in from The Netherlands to sail with us for a bit. I thought this was very brave of them since they are not that into boats, or used to being on one…
The kids happily squeezed into one cabin so that ‘oma en opa’ (that’s Dutch for grandma and grandad), could sleep in the v-berth.
We had fun together, first exploring the town of Pula first with its wonderful colosseum. The rest of our days we spent in quieter places, exploring by land and water.
Playing Games
We also spent a lot of time playing board games with the kids. After kids’ bedtime, the grown-ups stayed up to play ‘klaverjassen’, a Dutch card game. Unfortunately, mum and dad left a few days earlier than planned. My dad had a sore leg that he needed to get checked out. Luckily the doctor’s results have come back by now, and it turns out that is nothing serious.
Oh Bianca how wonderful for you and the children and sorry it got cut short but I’m sure they’ll be back again Croatia is such an exciting place with its deep clear waters and interesting places.Look forward to more news xx
