Trick or Treat!
Halloween is one of our kids’ favourite holidays. They had been counting down for at least 60 days… We had great fun going around the marina trick-or-treating. 14 kids were in the marina at the time. They all went along the boats together, with us parents in tow off course. The kids’ sweets buckets were overflowing pretty soon, so my white-sheet ghost costume came in handy as a sack to carry all the loot home in! Some boats were spookily decorated, much to the hilarity of the children.
We also had a Halloween party, at which we danced the monster mash. Zoë amazed us all with her incredible dance moves and sense of rhythm! I had to drag her off the dance-floor when it was time to go home. I wonder who she takes after hahaha…
RIP Henry the Cricket
Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our brave little cricket Henry – the stowaway that had boarded our dinghy in Greece a couple of weeks ago. Kai found him dead one morning in the dinghy. We are not allowed to move him because Kai likes to check now and again whether he is still dead. The evenings have turned very quiet…
Sail Race in the Marina
The week after Halloween we were right in the middle of a Laser dinghy sailing race for a couple of days. The boats would go into the water near the main pontoon and sail to the starting point, right past our boats. It was so much fun to see them all getting in and out of the marina very close together.
Zoe! How I can see you dancing!
Is Kai convinced yet?
Ach arme Henry, hoop dat Kai er over heen is en the beast rip in de zee.
Ja Chris heeft gelijk onze dansende kleindochter te zien zou leuk zijn. Veel plezier alvast voor de volgende festiviteiten Thanksgiving. XXX
