Barbuda is one of the most beautiful places we have seen in the Caribbean so far. There are miles of pristine beach – quiet, clean and with the most amazing colours. The first day we spent anchored near Coco Point. We had been told to look out for the wild horses that roam around the island. Unfortunately we did not see them that day. We still had fun, swimming and walking along the beach looking for treasure.
Kid Boat Bay
Next day we sailed round the corner to drop anchor in Low Bay, where Mrs. Chippy was already anchored. It was great catching up with them again after we had said goodbye in Antigua. There were a bunch of other sailing families anchored in the bay as well. Some of them we had met before, some were new to us. We really enjoy that about sailing in the Caribbean: there are more families with kids around. In the Med, we felt a bit lonely sometimes, whereas here, there is almost too much going on!
That night we made a bonfire on the beach with Mrs. Chippy. We stayed up late, eating, laughing, listening to Paul and Jill singing and playing the guitar. It doesn’t get much better than this!
Wow what treasures you found Kai , I know you had fun!
