Today we went to the Wings, Wheels and Keels festival here in Virginia. As the name suggests, there would be planes, classic cars and boats on display.
Beau, Kai and Zoë immediately spotted the kids area: bouncy castle, slide, a merry go round – they were all there! So we started at the bouncy castle, and worked our way through the various activities. The kids’ favourite ride was the merry go round, which had them sit in little round hamster cages that spun upside down. They loved it!
In the Paddywagon
After some coaxing, we managed to get the kids to come along and have a look at the vehicles on display. We got to sit in a Cessna, climbed aboard a Coast Guard vessel, and had a look around an ambulance. And, the kids were put in the sheriff’s paddywagon! He did let them out again, in spite of our offer to pick them up again in a day or two…
