Pancakes

Pancakes is a tradition with us on birthdays. Today was presents then pancakes. Beau was literally jumping up and down with excitement. We love to indulge it. The boat is covered with birthday decorations and balloons. Another tradition onboard, regardless of age.

Beau 7

In the last year Beau has learnt so much. His reading has comeback on leaps and bounds. He lost his first teeth. His swimming is amazing, diving really deep and with snorkel and mask. He switches effortlessly between Dutch and English, and his knock knock jokes are ‘creative’. He’s funny and serious and we love him.

Thieves About

We lazed around a bit during the day, mixing things up with games. Zoe and Kai needed to catch up on sleep after a late night last night and an early start today. I ducked into town to get some more shopping. Some bastard cut the fenders off the dinghy whilst it was chained to the wall.

Throttle It

I had to work on the boat. The throttle switch is playing up. Reverse doesn’t always come on first time and neutral is hard to find. So in a typical case of making things wore before they get better. I took the apart and nothing worked and thought I’d wrecked the whole thing. Luckily I’ve now got a throttle that I’m half happy with. Though I need to check out what Dr. Google and Professor You Tube have to say on the matter.
