Poor Beau got stung by a sea urchin today.
On our way back from the lovely sandy beach on Kolocep island, Beau went into the water from the quay side to rescue a little plastic toy. He was not wearing his surf shoes, so he took care not to step on any sea urchins. But swimming back, with the toy, he kicked against one that was attached to the wall of the dock.
It took us about 2 hours to get all the bits of spine out of his foot and clean it up. Let’s hope it does not get infected…

You must soak his foot in pure vinegar as the spines are serated and break with tweezers ?the vinegar dissolves the spines and after a while bout half hour you will see no more black dots but speckles on the bottom of the bowl . This stops any infection from broken spines. If vinegar is not available urine will do nicely! ? love you to the moon Beau xx
