Winter Fun – Ice Skating in The Netherlands

Swapping Liquid for Frozen Water

Being on land for a month, we are enjoying some activities we normally cannot do on the boat, like ice-skating! Yesterday was the first time the kids ever wore skates. In fact it was the first time they were even on ice! We went to an indoor ice-skating rink, since it is not cold enough for natural ice at the moment.

Max and me were also pretty wobbly to begin with, not having skated for years. I was happy to be able to grab on to one of the “Bobby the Seal” training aids – just to help the kids, off course! Beau seemed to have a real feeling for it, and took off at the end of the day! Kai and Zoe had fun too,  mostly fascinated with the sensation of ice and snow.

  1. Ziet er goed uit Beau maar je hebt wel super toffe hockyschaatsen aan en Kai en Zoe alleen ijzertjes. Misschien wordt je wel een ijshockyschaatser of de nieuwe snelle Sven Kramer xxx

  2. such fun certainly different from bobbing up and down!!!
