Friends’ Reunion

We met up with our friend Rebekah in the small town of Luka on Dugi Otok. On the way there, we realised how special it is for us to sail to a place where we actually know someone! Exploring is great, but having someone waiting for you on the quay to take you to their favourite places is pretty awesome. Rebekah travels a lot too, and so we have caught up with her in a few different countries. She had been in Luka for 2 weeks already, and since it’s a small and friendly place, she was pretty much settled in and friends with most of the locals by the time we arrived.

So we spent a relaxed couple of days wandering around the town, mostly visiting its playground, shop and restaurant. We walked to the next town Zman, we swam, and we prepared fresh fish that Rebekah had caught. We also met Gregor, the donkey. The kids fed him carrots, which he loved. Unfortunately Zoë got a bit too excited and frightened Gregor, who then knocked Beau to the ground. Nothing serious in the end, but a bit scary. I guess it was a good lesson for the kids to learn to be calm and cautious around animals!
